I have been to my "heart land" (Israel) two times and will return in 2012. After my last visit to Israel (in 2010 for the Feast of Tabernacles), I decided I wanted to learn my heart language.

I searched on the internet and found e-teacher. I requested information and then presented it to my husband. I immediately began to learn the aleph-bet. I signed up for the next available class (#489) and have never looked back!! My teacher Scott told us it would be an uphill battle and it has been. But Scott has been so patient with us and so encouraging. We just completed Unit 16 and I have been studying the vocabulary and trying to read.

After reading my very first word in Hebrew after only a few classes, I cried. And after a mere 16 weeks of class time, I am able to read and write Hebrew. I can read better than I can speak but the way I look at it, I'm still a little child in the process. When you're first learning to read, you stumble and stumble but with lots of practice, you finally get it. By the time I return "home to Israel" next year, I should have a great vocabulary base and maybe I can have a limited conversation. eTeacher is THE way to go.
