 I will start with the bottom line about my experience with eTeacherHebrew - IT WORKS. I travel to Israel on business every three months. During the past several visits, I've noticed the increasing frequency of the positive comments I've received about my Hebrew proficiency.

I've been studying with Nurit Aviv for about 18 months now, and she has guided skillfully through all of level C and we are now nearly done with level C-Advanced. Not only are the lessons well structured and effective, but the classroom-like atmosphere of the videoconferencing takes the learning to a whole new level, including Nurit and I getting to know each other very well. I always feel like I'm getting individual attention and exceptional instruction.

Not only do we cover the material in the lessons, but Nurit helps me use the perfect level of Hebrew to discuss virtually all aspects of life, including politics, religion, culture, parenting, hobbies, etc. The result is that I've gotten used to actually using Hebrew which as been very useful when I visit Israel.

I also must add that even though I'm studying modern Hebrew, my skyrocketing level of comprehension has completely elevated my enjoyment of Torah study to a new level. There is simply no substitute for understanding the original Hebrew text in the Torah - it's like opening up a whole new world for me as student.

Nurit and I had a chance to meet each other face-to-face when we hiked together with the Shakuf Batzafon (http://www.facebook.com/people/Shakuf-Bazafon/1074831443) group in Nachal S'fonim ("Hidden River" http://www.tiuli.com/track_info.asp?lng=eng&track_id=64) in the Carmel Mountains near Nurit's home in Haifa.

I can only say great things about my eTeacherHebrew/HebrewOnline experience, including the fantastic service the company provide. They are clearly a first-class operation. And I am so very very grateful to Nurit for her patience and teaching skills. The gift of Hebrew she continues to give me each week has been nothing short of professionally and personally transformative.

When I first spoke with the telemarketers at eTeacher and signed up for my first round of lessons, the telemarketer told me the truth: "You will learn to speak Hebrew, for sure," he said. And so I have - eTeacher Hebrew works. It really works.
