Shalom! About 28 years ago, I dropped out of the University of Alaska Anchorage. I had earned an Associate of Arts degree prior to that, in California, and got about halfway through my BA when, due to circumstances, I had to leave school. One of the courses that I took as part of my Associate of Arts degree was a year of Modern Hebrew. I absolutely fell in love with the language and I never lost that love, in fact, over the ensuing 28 years of getting married and raising children, all the while running my own business, somewhere inside me the desire burned to go back to University and finish my degree. It was a long journey back to being a student again, and I have to give HebrewOnline (eTeacherHebrew) and eTeacher all the credit for helping me to make my decision. I found this wonderful language school online, through some work that I was doing about three years ago. I decided to sign up and see what I could learn - or if I had forgotten all of my Hebrew! Fortunately, I had a very good teacher - Eti Yavor - and some wonderful classmates. I have had three teachers with HebrewOnline (eTeacherHebrew today) altogether - Eti Yavor, Eji Rosenboim-Shon, Nurit Aviv and my current teacher, Judith Whitham. All are terrific and I have learned so much! At the present time, because of the confidence I have gained in studying Modern Hebrew with ETeacher, I am currently working toward my Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages. Unfortunately, because the University of Alaska Anchorage does not offer Hebrew, I had to choose German as my major...but I can still study Hebrew, and I intend to continue doing so, but on my own. My course load is too heavy to be enrolled in ETeacher as well as the classes I am taking at the University, at least at the present. I have about two years to still get through to finish my degree, and I am confident that I will do it. Thank you, ETeacher and HebrewOnline! Todaraba...I am grateful. L'hitraot - Deborah Lovel Bryner
